Platform Features

The Adoptam Studenți platform facilitates: (i) crowdfunding campaigns through which selected students raise funds for university studies; (ii) a one-time or recurring donation form, processed through a third-party payment provider; (iii) a volunteer program; and (iv) publishing informative content and success stories on the blog. The selection of supported students is made by the Association, according to its own criteria and the Student Participation Regulations, and the Association does not guarantee the acceptance of any student into the program.

The Association acts as an intermediary between students and donors and is not a party to any funding, sponsorship or employment relationship between them. The Association does not guarantee the achievement of a campaign's funding target, a student's academic success or any other specific result and does not provide financial, tax or legal advice. For the conditions of tax deductibility of a donation, the donor must independently inform himself or consult a tax advisor.

The Association reserves the right to modify, temporarily suspend or terminate, in whole or in part, any of the functionalities of the Platform, including the student selection process or the availability of a payment method, without this giving rise to a right to compensation on the part of the Association, except for rights already acquired by students or donors at the date of the modification.

By submitting them, the user grants the Association a non-exclusive license to use them for the purpose for which they were provided, without acquiring any other intellectual property rights over them.

Third-party services

To provide certain functionalities, the Platform uses services operated by independent third-party providers, including: Stripe (online payment processing), Google Analytics (traffic analysis), Google reCAPTCHA (anti-spam protection) and the Platform's hosting provider. The use of the corresponding functionalities (for example, making an online donation) involves automatic interaction with the relevant third-party service, which is subject to its own terms and conditions and privacy policy, available on each provider's website.

However, the Association is not responsible for the availability, operation, security or content of services provided by third parties and cannot guarantee the absence of interruptions caused by them.

The Platform may include sharing modules and links to the Association's social media pages. When such modules load content directly from the respective social media servers or collect data independently of the Platform, the corresponding processing is subject to the privacy policy of the social media in question.

Donations made through the Platform are voluntary and, in principle, permanent. Donated amounts are non-refundable, except in the event of technical processing errors (e.g., duplication of a transaction) or other situations provided for by law, in which case the reimbursement is made through the same means of payment used for the donation. Online payments are processed by a third-party payment service provider (Stripe). The Platform does not store full payment card details. For recurring donations, the donor may request the cessation of future payments at any time, in accordance with the Donor Regulations.
